Boks and France win toss
Dressing Down: France's room for improvement
South Africa and France will be the 'home' teams for the World Cup Final and 3rd/4th play-off respectively after winning the coin tosses on Monday.
The home changing-room at Stade de France was a happy place at the weekend. England ousted the hosts to the 'away' area after winning the semi-final toss, and the Boks played the part of the locals against Argentina.
All four sides will wear their normal strips for the final two matches of the tournament.
International Rugby Board (IRB) chairman Dr Syd Millar was present at the coin toss and paid tribute to all twenty teams who have made his tournament the "most successful Rugby World Cup" ever.
"Twenty teams arrived here with the ambition to reach the final stages, but after an exciting festival of rugby, some nail-biting finishes and some unexpected results we have arrived at the final stages of the most successful Rugby World Cup," he said.
"I would like to congratulate all participants, and of course those who have arrived at the final stages of the competition.
"England, who have perhaps surprised their supporters, but their performances have improved with each game. They are there by right. They are still the holders of the world cup, and South Africa - a proud rugby nation with a great rugby past - will be determined to bring the cup to South Africa.
"I wish both teams well. I hope we will have a game to savour and remember.
"The third and fourth place play-off is of course important, but the disappointment felt by France, the host nation, is understandable and they will be determined to achieve something from Rugby World Cup 2007.
"Argentina have punched above their weight and have had a superb Rugby World Cup.
"No matter what the outcome on Friday, France and Argentina can be proud of their achievements."
